SIMPLE
DAILY CHECKS ON YOUR VEHICLE
LIGHTS
Make sure your headlights are properly aimed,
especially if you intend towing, so that you do not dazzle oncoming drivers or cars travelling in
front. Dazzling lights, especially in wet or poor conditions
are DANGEROUS.
Ensure all lights (including brakes
and indicators) are in working order. If not have
them attended to by your local Authorised Repairer.
BRAKES
A scraping noise or brake pedal shuddering are signs that urgent
attention is needed. Is your Vehicle pulling up straight, is it
erratic under brakes, or is it taking longer to pull up at
traffic lights? These are all classic signs of a brake and
front-end inspection being required. Have them attended to
by your local Authorised Repairer.

STEERING
We sometimes get so used to the feel of a car or
truck that we may not realise that vital steering components may have become badly worn and
may be in danger of failure. Check for oil leaks or excess steering wheel free
play. Have the steering system checked out by your local
Authorised
Repairer.
VISUALS
Rear mirrors, both side and centre must be clean and not cracked.
Windscreens must be clean and not cracked and/or sandblasted. Windscreen wipers and
area must be free from any contaminates. All windows must not be over tinted as per local laws.
REMEMBER, the Sun's glare has a multiplication affect
on dirty chipped and/or cracked glass. Have your glass checked out and/or replaced by
your
local Authorised Repairer or
Auto Glassier.
RESTRAINTS
Seat belts and other safety restraints are critical to the safety
of occupants and must not be overlooked. Check for signs of wear, fraying or
damage. Also check structural mounting points for rust or damage. And don’t forget to educate the younger members of your family on the correct use of seatbelts and child restraints. Your local
Authorised
Repairer will be of assistance if required.
